System Design and Simulation
At DevArt, we pay attention to detail in everything we do, from description to commissioning the end. To this end, we take the process of design through the following steps:
a) Analysis of a client’s need by listening to the client’s pain/problem, collecting and analysing relevant information to inform a suitable project description.
b) Development of abstract design proposals. This is a multidimensional process that appraises more than one design model. This is important since it looks at a client’s need and gives it an open-minded solution. All the proposals are presented to the client to choose the optimal solution that best fits their budgetary and technical specifications.
c) Detailed design of the option of choice.
d) Development of a prototype model and simulation of the expected final product.
e) Preparation of the relevant technical drawings.
f) Preparation of the material BQ’s.
g) Acquisition of the relevant design approvals.
Project Implementation
We offer the following services during the project implementation phase
a) Implementation of third party designed projects. We analyze and review the design(s) then progress to project construction and delivery
b) Implementation of DevArt designed projects. We have the capacity to implement designs that we have developed, simulated and sought relevant approvals for.
For both scenarios above, we take the job through the relevant pre-execution, execution and commissioning steps including, but not limited to the following:
a) Analysis of both site and the prevailing design.
b) Material acquisition where the contract mandates us to.
c) Execution of prior and subsequent civil works, where a contract mandates us to.
d) Seeking of relevant work commencement approvals and permits.
e) Training and orientation of all the parties relevant to the process.
f) Carrying out of the relevant tests at every stage of the process, and issuance of the relevant certificates.
g) Submission of certified as-built drawings, commissioning reports and certificates.
We All the processes above, and any other that a client would like us to undertake or comply with, are open to witnessing by either the client or a suitable party appointed by the client.
Consultancy, Supervision, Tests and Commissioning of Projects
DevArt has developed capacity for involvement in projects being developed by other contractors either as a consultant or supervisor or independent quality assurance expert to carry out tests as part of execution process or at the end of project implementation. In line with company policy, we issue relevant reports and certificates for all projects and works that we get involved in, both to the client and any other relevant entity involved in the project, as dictated by the terms of engagement. Again, our processes are open to observation and scrutiny by the client and other parties either mandated by the client or by the law.
Financial Analysis of New Projects, Existing or Remodeled Electrical Networks and Equipment
On this front, we carry out financial impact analysis of any project as summarized above. We take projects or existing entities through a rigorous financial modelling process with the aim of ascertaining the impact and/or benefit it has or will have on the community, economy, entity or process as the case may be. Our financial modelling tools and a highly qualified team of technical and financial analysis personnel ensure they give results that are as dynamic as possible, depending on the situation at hand. These results demonstrate the technical losses associated with a network, how the losses are generated and how they can be mitigated. Where losses are occasioned by non-technical processes, we re-engineer the processes or the network to eliminate the redundant loops. We work as a team ensuring that our reports are perfectly co-related so that the client receives a simplified solution that will have across-cutting impact. We look at energy holistically based on an understanding of the importance of holistic process analysis.
Maintenance of Existing Electrical Systems and Equipment
DevArt has vast experience and unrivalled capacity to analyze, maintain, modify or monitor existing systems and equipment either through one-off agreements or signing of maintenance contracts over an agreeable time frame. Our maintenance scope/approach includes:
a) Attendance to system breakdowns resulting in system restorations. This service helps retain the existing network or equipment in a functional state.
b) Modification of existing systems with an aim of:
i) Improving system efficiency.
ii) System modernization by the introduction of state-of-the-art equipment/parts to replace obsolete ones or to support the system. Alongside this, we also undertake works intended to create redundant links, alternative power sources and supply lines with an intention to minimize system downtime.
